This large showroom in the beating heart of Milan’s world-famous fashion district is located inside an 18th century building, surrounded by a 500 sqm garden.
The challenge is to combine a language of an elegant classical existing garden and a modern informal one. The showroom opens to a courtyard that hosts 4 sitting lounge zones that are scattered through the garden. These lobbies are contoured by perennials in order to create more intimate zones. The garden is hidden from the streets by a high vegetation along the perimeter in order to create a sense of privacy. Even the skylight located in the right part of the patio was turned into a sculptural element that also serves as a bench.
