The Landscape design of Westfield Milano, which is a project of a remarkable importance, assumes different roles and represents an instrument to expand the aesthetical and ecological quality of this location. The Landscape project of Westfield Milano is designed as a composition of open spaces which are set out to embrace the building, welcoming the visitors and enriching the experience of the centre. The landscape design divided into three macro categories: The mitigation areas, small woods that embrace the whole perimeter of the plot of the project providing a visual and sound barrier towards the surrounding industrial sites. The connective green, the green among the roads which represents the first impression of the mall that the visitors will have from car. The entrance plazas, the outdoor welcome space in front of the building entrances that will offer the visitors the opportunity to enjoy the open space of the mall. The three identified macro categories together generate a landscape that suggests different experiences and diversified emotions.
