Moncler Headquarter, Milano
A park at stake for the future
:quality(80))
The campus presents a layered landscape where vegetation and minerals, memory and innovation coexist in a balanced harmony, supporting well-being at work and reflecting the brand's identity.
The new Moncler headquarters is completed by a park, defined by the building's concave edge and the perimeter wall of the historic Panificio Automatico Continuo bakery. It is designed as a large green refuge in the urban context, a landscape feature that integrates vegetation, terrain modelling and mineral materials in a system consistent with the architecture and memory of the place. The design is articulated in topographical variations that converge in a large central clearing intended for collective events. The chimney stands in a central position and, together with the piezometric tower, is an unchanging presence, the root of the site's industrial history and the cardinal point of the complex's new landscape identity.

Access to the clearing coincides with an incision in the topography, stitched together by a plant pergola, conceived as a climatic infrastructure. It controls lighting and ventilation, ensuring comfort and uninterrupted use in the spaces below dedicated to outdoor work.

The sections of the hills reveal outcrops of serpentine, used in blocks, as an explicit reference to the mountains and a direct reference to the brand's alpine universe. The “Moncler” landscape is thus expressed in the interaction between plant and mineral: on the one hand, nature as an immersive, instinctive experience; on the other, stone as definition and structure.

The relationship with the building is carefully calibrated: the trees follow the rhythm of the glass façade, establishing a dialogue of reflections, transparencies and visual proximity. Vegetation and architecture thus define a unified system in which the experience of space is amplified by variations in light and the sensory perception of matter. Inside, the transparent façade houses a walk-through bioclimatic greenhouse, populated by species selected for their adaptability to local conditions. This environment acts as a thermal and light buffer, modulating the microclimate and ventilation in synergy with the chimney, a passive ventilation device.
